Scoping and quotes
Every engagement starts with a free scoping sprint: a discovery call, your workflow and requirements mapped, a build plan in priority order, and a written scope with a fixed quote. The scope is yours to keep, whether or not you go ahead with us.
A build begins only once you have accepted its written scope and quote. The quote covers that scope, and all prices are in US dollars.
Changes during a build
New ideas that come up during a build are quoted before they get built. Nothing outside the written scope is added to the price without your written approval, so the price you agreed is the price you pay.
Payment
The payment schedule for each build is set out in its written scope and on our invoices. Ongoing support is billed monthly. If a payment is late, we may pause work until it is settled, after letting you know.
Working together
While a build runs, you can expect from us:
- A senior engineer on every call, from the first conversation to launch.
- A preview link and a short review call every week.
- The code repository, accounts and documentation set up in your name.
We ask you for timely feedback, and for the access, content and decisions the scope depends on. Delays on either side can move the timeline; we agree any new dates with you in writing.
Your code and accounts
The code repository, accounts, handover docs and runbook for your project are set up in your name. Once the work is paid for, you own what we built for you and can keep developing it with us or anyone else. Open-source libraries we use stay under their own licences.
Ongoing support
Ongoing support starts from $750 per month and covers bug fixes, small features, hosting, monitoring and uptime, and AI model cost reviews for assistants we built. Its scope and notice period are agreed in writing before it starts.
Confidentiality
We keep what you share about your business and project confidential and use it only to do the work. How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
Liability
We build to the written scope. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about an engagement is limited to the amount you paid us for that engagement.
